What are the differences between the role types (Caregiver, Parent, Family)?

Edited

There are three different role types that determine access level in each family.

How do the different role types vary

The access in the app varies by role type, where Family sees and can do less than Parents and Caregivers. Refer to the full accessibility matrix on the article Manage Access.

How are role types assigned

At sign up, users select a type of role to inherit, either Parent, Caregiver or Family. For any Families these users add, they will take on this role, and for any families where the user is invited (i.e. they applied the code) they will inherit that access.

How are role types changes

Role types can be changed by any Caregiver or Parent on a family's account. Refer to Manage Access to steps to adjust a user's role.
